Academic Advising Student Learning Outcomes

As a result of academic advising, students will:

  • Take ownership of their education and assume responsibility for meeting academic requirements.

  • Access academic information through online tools and monitor their progress toward degree completion.

  • Demonstrate an understanding of academic requirements, policies and procedures, and articulate the purpose of their curriculum.

  • Identify and utilize campus resources to help them achieve their academic, professional, and life goals.

  • Select a major, create an academic plan, and set goals based on strengths, interests, and values.

  • Participate in extra- and co-curricular programs to support their professional development.
